St Helier Marina facilities and services
Opening hours
Opening hours are available in the marina opening and hoist operating times brochure.
Boat hoist
The hoist section operates all year round. There are 2 hoists, both of which operate 3 hours either side of high water, Monday to Friday:
- a 65 ton ‘Wise’ dock hoist capable of lifting vessels up to 25 metres in length with a maximum beam of up to 6.2 metres
- a 25 ton ‘Wise’ slipway hoist capable of lifting vessels up to 15 metres in length with a maximum beam of up to 4.5 metres
During peak season months (from November to May), a waiting list system is operated in order to accommodate all haul out requirements.
You can contact the boat hoist section on +44 (0) 1534 447773 or via email.

Fuel
You can get fuel from 3 outlets at the harbour:
- South Pier in the main harbour directly below the St Helier Yacht Club
- Victoria Pier alongside La Collette Yacht Basin immediately to starboard prior to entering the main harbour
- inside Elizabeth Marina
If you are getting fuel from inside Elizabeth Marina, please be aware that depending upon draught, the berth is normally accessible about 3 hours each side of high water. You should check the adjacent depth gauge to see if the berth is accessible for your vessel.
Gate access
All 3 marinas around the port of St Helier have security gates at the head of each ramp. Access is with the use of electronic swipe cards and is restricted to vessel owners and boat crews only. These swipe cards are individual to each boat owner.
Berth holders who need to access their drying harbour mooring when their craft is holding or awaiting tide are also issued with access cards.
The same swipe cards are used to access the marina facilities and shower blocks.
Security
24hr CCTV is in operation around the entire harbour and marinas. Jersey Marinas operate both fully remote and static CCTV cameras.
In addition to the 24hr watch provided by Jersey Marinas and Jersey Coastguard, additional night time and event security is provided by the Jersey Security Bureau who works closely with the Port Operations and management teams.
Storage
The boat storage areas were improved during 2007/8 with additional security fencing and gates being installed around extended areas of the current site.
A new electronic security access system was also installed during 2009, further improving security and safety measures around the boat storage and hoist operating areas.
Additional trailer boat storage has also been incorporated around the main storage sites.
The main vehicle gate at La Collette Boat Park is open from 08:00 to 17:00. Access outside of these hours is by swipe card only. Swipe cards are available from the Hoist Office, and must be returned once the vessel ahs returned to the water.
If you already have an access card for a marina, then you can have it updated for access to the boat park by taking the card to the Marine Leisure Centre.
