Seven Seas Voyager
The Port of Jersey was pleased to welcome the Seven Seas Voyager on her maiden visit to the Island on Thursday 18 August. At 204 metres in length, this luxurious all suite, all balcony cruise ship was on the last leg of her 'Celtic Cruise' around the British Isles before returning to Southampton where she would have a speedy turnaround starting her 14 night 'Connoisseur's Europe Cruise' just 24 hours later.
The Seven Seas Voyager first entered service in 2003, the 42363 tonne vessel carries 700 passengers and 447 officers and crew. There are 4 dining venues on board including Signatures Restaurant which is dedicated to Le Cordon Bleu cuisine and the 9 passenger decks offer much to explore.
The ship's own tenders ferried 687 passengers across to the Albert Pier for some shopping and refreshment in St Helier before returning late afternoon for a departure at 6pm. The Deputy Harbour Master completed pilotage duties on the day, guiding her south and then west off Corbiere. After returning to the pilot boat, The Seven Seas Voyager was free to steam at her 20 knot cruising speed en route to Southampton.
