Bremen 

The M S Bremen is operated by Hapag-Lloyd and is 6752 tonnes and 111 metres long. The Bremen was an impressive sight steaming into Jersey coastal waters from St Malo.

The Bremen boasts 6 passenger decks with 80 cabins and 2 suites and she can carry up to 164 passengers, supported by 100 crew. Originally christened 'Frontier Spirit' when she was built in 1990 in Kobe, Japan, she was renamed The Bremen in 1993 when she went into service with Hapag-Lloyd. She is best known for her stunning cruises to Antarctica and thanks to the highest ice class rating for passenger ships (E4), The Bremen penetrates even dense ice pack. Her shallow draught and enormous maneuverability enable her to sail through narrow fjords and meandering rivers. That same maneuverability allowed her to turn on a sixpence in St Helier Harbour on 5 October 2011.
