Charter vessels

All vessels wanting to operate commercially (all maritime commercial activities) including beach launch activities such as:

canoeing / kayaking
jet skiing
water skiing

must obtain a licence under the Boats and Surf-Riding (Control) (Jersey) Regulations 1969 in order for that vessel to be allowed to operate commercially.

Vessels also have to be compliant with the requirements of the Shipping (Safety Codes) (Jersey) Order 2005 and any code of practice introduced under this order.

Application forms should be returned to the enforcement manager, Maritime House, La Route du Port Elizabeth, St Helier, Jersey, JE1 1JD.
